Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific certification document is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, license plate holder, or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair, returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
