Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of warranty on the product, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
