Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is certified for noise, the customer must verify in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in cases of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Includes the vertical Y pipe. No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike track-only, without bags, without flashlight and without number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any request for claims will be rejected. Starting from the purchase date, with repair rights by returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one for repair; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
